SoftCart Drop-Ship Module is an add-on module that automatically notifies suppliers of products that must be shipped directly to a customer once SoftCart has processed an on-line order. The Drop-Ship Module benefits the merchant by:

• Notifying drop-ship vendors immediately following the authorization of the customer's credit card purchase - reduces the time between order placement and fulfillment.
• Eliminating the risk of human errors, which are associated with manually notifying the vendor of a drop-ship order. Maintaining a pool of e-mail templates to standardize communications with different types of vendors.

• Integrates with SoftCart, allowing merchants to define drop-ship arrangements for items in the product database.
• Easy-to-use vendor database, which supports an unlmited number of vendors and/or warehouses. Supports simple mail transfer protocol (SMTP).
• Provides two editable types of e-mail templates:
  - EDI (electronic data interchange) version X.12 850
